About therapy

Therapy is a general word used to describe talking to someone to solve a specific problem. Each person’s needs are unique and we work with you to develop an individualised and tailored plan. We aim to give you a safe space in order to have a guided conversation about the stuff that you would like to address. Usually sessions last for about 45-55 minutes, during which time we will give you a place to feel completely accepted, comfortable, and understood. We may also give you insights and skills to change your perspective, thinking patterns, or behaviours.

We ensure that all our practices are at the forefront of new scientific advancements and are based on trusted research so that we can provide the best evidence-based assessments and therapies. Our therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy and along with others.

No. People attend therapy for many reasons. For example, sometimes people want to achieve peak performance in their educational or sporting pursuits, or they want to improve their everyday lives. During these times, it can help to think of therapy as an athlete and coach relationship. You have a goal and need someone to help you reach that goal.

We work closely with General Practitioners, allied health professionals, Workers Compensation or SIRA, and government and non-government organisations. We believe that taking a multi-disciplinary approach can help to ensure you return to full capacity in the shortest time frame.

We believe in providing affordable services for clients / patients with competitive fees. The Australian Psychological Societies recommended fee is $311 per hour. However, we charge the following fees:
- Initial session (50-60 minutes): $275

We also provide medicare rebates which commence from $96.65 per session.
